Rare Vintage Judith Jack Sterling Silver Marcasite Black Onyx Double Brooch Chatelaine Pin. I abought and sold Judith Jack Jewelry back in the 1980s when it was new. This is a very unusual piece! Two brooches are connected by a swag of five chains. Judith Jack Jewelry was very high quality for sterling silver jewelry when originally made and the Victorian and Art Deco designs produced by the company are sometimes whimsical and sometimes very true to the era they imitate. This piece just screams Art Deco and is a dramatic accent for day or night.
The larger domed brooch is 1 1 /4 inch in diameter and the smaller one with oval cabochon of black onyx measures 1 1/2 X 1 1/2 inches. Both pins are finished with rollover safeties and both brooches are marked Sterling with the double JJ in triangles hallmark. In Excellent Condition with all marcasites present and secure and no damage. There is some patina you may wish to polish.
