Vintage WWII Army Air Service Sweetheart Locket Necklace. The oval locket has a mother of pearl face decorated with an attached propeller on wings, the emblem of the Army Air Corps. This symbol was used from 1926 until 1947. The locket is framed with twist decoration. A hidden hinged locket opens on the reverse to reveal two locket frames with original cellophane photo covers and red paper backing.
Marked PR. ST. CO. 1/20 12K G.F, for Providence Stock Company on the inside. The locket is suspended from a new 20" 14K gold filled replacement rolo chain.

Hallmark/History: Locket interior stamped PR. ST. CO. 1/20 12K G.F, for Providence Stock Company. Chain is stamped 14/20 GF (for 14K Gold Filled) and the hallmark of the Garlan Chain Company, a Massachusetts-based chain manufacturer.
Metal/Materials: 1/20 12K gold-filled, 14K gold-filled and Mother Of Pearl
Measurements: Chain measures 20" long; Locket measures 1 1/4" long by 7/8" wide
Condition: Very good vintage condition, with very minor signs of surface wear. Locket seems to have never had photos inserted.
