Edwardian German Silver Dance Purse by W. H. Saart Co. A must have for the flapper girl, this dainty compact has just enough room for some mad money, smokes, coins, powder, celluloid sheet and pencil. The purse opens by a push of the spring button clasp. Inside are two coin slots, a spring arm section for cigarettes or cash, a compact powder section that opens to reveal the original marabou feather puff and a framed celluloid tablet. The case is rectangular, with engraved floral frame around a blank cartouche. The handle is a 12 inch long oval link chain. The purse also includes a separate pencil with bale suitable for wear as a necklace on a chain.
In very good vintage condition, with no damage noted. The piece ships wit the original felt storage bag.

METAL/MATERIALS: German Silver, which contains no silver, but is a mix of three major elements Copper, Zinc and Nickel and sometimes with a trace of Tin and Lead
HALLMARKS/HISTORY: Marked WHSCO and German Silver on the inside of the hinged purse and German Silver on the pencil. WHSCO stands for W.H. Saart Company, which was founded in 1906 in Attleboro, Massachusetts.
CONDITION: In good antique condition, with no dents or other damage noted. Ships with original felt storage bag.
MEASUREMENTS: Case measures 3 1/2" long, 2 1/2" wide, and 1/2" thick. The handle is 12" long.
