Antique Late Victorian 14K Yellow Gold Bar Pin with Alternating Natural Seed Peals and Coral. Made approximately 1900, this bar pin has nine seed pearls measuring about 2 mm each, and eight salmon coral cabochons, each measuring about 2.2 mm in diameter. The pin is finished with a C clasp and measures approximately 1 3/4 inches long and just over 1/8 inch wide.
This pretty little lapel pin may have been created originally as a baby pin. Victorian believed that coral offered protection to children and babies.
