Mid Century Modern Sterling Silver Amethyst Cuff Links, Made in Mexico City, Mexico, these striking modernist oval cufflinks are each set with one large tear drop shaped amethyst cabochon. Each stone is set with four hand made, curvy prongs and is raised above the oval dish shaped sterling silver forms. The cuff links are finished with swivel backs. Stamped JV surrounded by Hecho en Mexico DF 925, along with Sterling.
In very good vintage condition. The cuff links seem to have been little worn, but one amethyst does have an internal fissure that breaks the surface of the stone..
ERA: Mid Century, 1940
METAL/MATERIALS: 925 Sterling Silver and Natural Amethyst
HALLMARKS/HISTORY: Stamped Sterling and also JV, surrounded by Hecho en Mexico DF 925. The DF stands for Distrito Federal, or Mexico City.
CONDITION: Very Good Vintage Condition, with a crack in one Amethyst which does not seem to pose a risk of loss
SIZE/MEASUREMENT: The cuff links measure approximately 1 1/4" x 1" and are slightly irregular.
WEIGHT: 17.9 grams
