Antique 24K Gold Nugget Pin. This brooch seems to date to the California gold rush era of 1848-1860. The front is a solid, unrefined 24 karat gold nugget with inclusions of tiny quartzite crystals seen in the crevasses. The pin is finished with a simple hinged pin stem and C clasp of 14K rosy yellow gold.

CONDITION: Very good antique condition, with no damage noted
MEASUREMENT: 1 1/8 inch long, 5/8 inch wide and 3/16 inch thick (nugget alone)
