Vintage Victorian Style Almandite Garnet Marcasite and Sterling Silver Cross Pendant on Rope Chain Necklace. 20 oval faceted garnets are prong set in double rows, with marcasites set in silver diamond shapes between the rows. There are 13 marcasites, including 2 on the bale. It measures 2 3/8 inch tall with bale and 1 3/8 inch wide. Suspended from an 18" sterling silver 2.3 mm diameter rope chain with lobster claw clasp.
Victorian look jewelry of sterling silver, gemstones, and marcasites was very popular in the 1970s and 1980s.

STONE: 20 Natural Almandite Garnets, with total weight of approximately 12 CT TW (as estimated by measurement). 13 Round Faceted Marcasites.
HALLMARKS/HISTORY: 925 Thailand NF (on reverse of cross). 925 Milor Made in Italy (on end rabs of chain).
CONDITION: In very good vintage condition, with no damage noted.
MEASUREMENTS: The pendant is 2 3/8" tall (including attached fixed loop) and 1 3/8" wide.
WEIGHT: 24 grams total weight
