Antique 18K Victorian Brooch Pendant with Amethyst Drops, Lattice of Pearls, and Applied Blue Enamel Decoration. This beautiful piece features many Victorian elements and flourishes, a lattice field set with 10 cultured seed pearls, each 2 mm in diameter. This pierced center is framed by three ornate shells decorated with stripes of baby blue enamel. And the entire piece is framed with a ruffled border with three floral accents. Suspended from the lower edge of the brooch are three teardrop faceted amethysts set in plain bezels.
There is script engraving of "June 6, 1895" on the back of two ruffles. The brooch is finished with a safety stem with replacement roll-over safety clasp and original tube hinge for pin stem. A hinged bale allows for wear on a necklace chain as a pendant. The piece is in very good vintage condition, with expected wear for its age. One pearl is a replacement and stands up above the post. The Amethyst drops may have been added to customize the brooch.
