Vintage Southwestern Bolo Tie in the form of a Rainbow Dancer in Sterling Silver with Multistone Inlay. This very large kachina is the central figure of the bolo and appears in smaller versions as dangle on the sterling aiglettes. The Rainbow Man is inlaid with turquoise, spiny oyster, abalone, jet, and mother of pearl, yellow lip oyster, and brown shell.
The large dancer measures 3 1/2 inches long and 2 5/6 inches wide, Each of the smaller dangles measures 1 3/4 inches long and 1 1/2 inches wide. The leather braided bolo is 41" long (including dangles). Finished with a C31 Bennett Clasp.
In Excellent Vintage Condition. There may be one or two inlaid pieces with tight cracks that occurred in storage. The bolo was never worn.
We purchased the collection of new old stock inventory from a closed trading post style store that ceased operation in the 1980s. This piece comes from that collection and was never worn.
