Victorian 14K Gold Enamel and Pearl Pin, made circa 1880. This ornate antique antique brooch has a quatrefoil shape accented with a white natural pearl plus black enamel squares and black taille d'epargne enamel tracery. Stippled texturing lends extra dimension. A loop on its reverse side allows you to wear it as a pendant on a necklace chain. The piece is unmarked, but acid tests as 14 karat gold. It is in overall very good vintage condition for its advanced age, with properly working tube pin mechanism with C clasp. There are minimal signs of surface wear, including a scratch to the enamel and a bit of enamel loss in the border (visible at 11 - 12 o'clock), and one scratch to the gold itself.
