Vintage Mexican Silver Aquarius pendant of Mixed Metal and Abalone. This large disc pendant features a water bearer figure of brass set in a field of iridescent abalone shell in a sterling silver frame. Made in Taxco Mexico in the 1940s, prior to the adoption of the eagle mark system.
ERA: Mid-Century Modern, 1940s
METAL/MATERIAL: Sterling Silver (tested), Brass, Abalone Shell
HALLMARK/HISTORY: TAXCO MEXICO with a G or 5 in the center.
CONDITION: Good Vintage Condition, with minor age wear and patina appropriate to age.
SIZE/MEASUREMENTS: 1 5/16 inch in diameter
WEIGHT: 9.5 grams
