Antique Rhodolite Garnet Pearl Ring. Made about 1850, this Georgian ring features a round pink rhodolite garnet in bezel setting surrounded by eight round natural seed pearls. The pearls are each secured by a simple claw prong and by fancy flower bead settings immediately surrounding the garnet. When viewed from the side, the gallery has a starburst effect.

METAL/MATERIAL: 14K Yellow Gold
STONE: One Round Faceted Rhodolite Garnet with typical crossed rutile needle inclusions and included crystals. Estimated weight is .25 CT. There are also eight Natural Seed Pearls, each approximately 2.5mm in diameter/
HALLMARK/HISTORY: A in shield mark which may be an English date mark from Birmingham, England in 1849. It might also be a pseudo hallmark. There is no karat mark, but the ring tests as 14K gold.
CONDITION: Good Vintage Condition, with minor surface wear appropriate to its age and three small splintery conchoidal fractures in the top of the stone.
SIZE/MEASUREMENTS: Ring measures 10.3 mm in diameter at head and tapers to 1.85 mm at reverse of shank.
