Vintage Mexican Silver Malachite Link Bracelet. Made in the 1940s before the institution of the Eagle Mark, this bracelet is made of six chunky open links, each topped with a bezel set malachite cabochon framed with rope twist. The bracelet is finished with a hook closure.
ERA: Mid Century, 1940s
METAL/MATERIALS: Sterling Silver
STONE: Malachite
HALLMARKS/HISTORY: SILVER MEXICO stamped twice on link next to hook. This mark likely predates the eagle marks instituted in 1948. Not marked for metal content, but tests as 925 sterling silver.
MEASUREMENTS: Bracelet is 7.25 inches long and is 14.5 mm wide
WEIGHT: 43.6 grams
CONDITION: In very good vintage condition, with the patina appropriate for its age.
