Vintage Mexican Silver Art Glass Dragons Breath Ring. Made in the 1940s before the institution of the Eagle Mark, this ring has a lovely art glass cabochon of foil backed harlequin glass, intended to mimic fire opal. The 17.25 mm X 13.25 mm cabochon is bezel set on a flat frame with applied scrolls, fans, and dew drops. A pretty piece of early Mexican silver jewelry.

HALLMARKS/HISTORY: JGC. This mark likely predates the eagle marks instituted in 1948. Not marked for metal content, but tests as 925 sterling silver.
MEASUREMENTS: Head of ring measures 15/16" X 1 1/16". Shank measures 2.75 mm at reverse.
WEIGHT: 5.2 grams
CONDITION: In very good vintage condition, with minor scratches to the glass from wear.
