Vintage 14K Bracelet of Dainty Patterned Chain. In the 1980's, women were taught to "dress for success" in order to climb the corporate ladder. One of the bits of advice frequently shared was to always wear real gold jewelry to the office, even if you could only afford smaller, more delicate pieces. So, the style for day was small, dainty, understated. And for night, bold, colorful, and over sized. This dainty bracelet was purchased from a lady who bought it to wear to the office in the eighties. But, dainty was not really her style, so she never really wore it. So this bracelet is nearly perfect after three decades in her jewelry box.
The yellow gold bracelet is 8 inches long, so comfortable for a larger wrist or a very small ankle. It is made of anchor links that alternate between shiny and stamped patterns. It is finished with a lobster claw clasp.
