Antique Hand Engraved Monogrammed Round Locket of Rosy 10K Gold Filled by J.M. Fisher circa 1900. Locket front features a simple engraved frame on a brighter yellow field, while the reverse side is ornately hand engraved with a monogram that may read "HCM" in intricate script lettering. The hinged lid opens downward to reveal two original photographs of a smiling man, with the clear celluloid protective covers and photo frames still intact. The chain has been suspended from a 20 inch long 10K gold filled new cable chain.
ERA: Victorian, 1900s
METAL/MATERIALS: Locket is 10K Gold Filled, as tested. Chain is 14K Gold Filled.
HALLMARK/HISTORY: Locket interior stamped J.M.F. Co., for the J M Fisher Company of Attleboro, Massachusetts. The chain's spring ring clasp is stamped with "14/20 GF" and the hallmark of the Garlan Chain Company, a Massachusetts-based chain manufacturer.
MEASUREMENT: Chain measures 20" long. Locket measures 1.25" long (including bale) by 1.06" wide
CONDITION: Very good vintage condition, with minor signs of surface wear.
