Anselm Wallace Zuni Inlaid Desert Rose Flower Pin Pendant. This sterling silver floral brooch is made of sterling silver with yellow mother of pearls and turquoise. The brooch has a roll over safety on the pin stem and an integrated bale for wear as a necklace pendant. The large pin measures 1 5/8" across. In Very Good Vintage Condition. with no damage noted. Signed Anselm W Zuni on reverse.
Anselm Wallace was born in the 1930s. He was active as a silversmith at Zuni Pueblo from the mid-1950s until about 1990. He was well-known for his flower mosaic design, often referred to as a desert rose. His work was not signed until the late 1970s, so this piece dates from the period of 1980-1990.
