Vintage 14K Gold Rose Blossom Ring with Pink Linde Star Sapphire - 14K 3 Dimensional Flower Ring - Estate Jewelry- Floral Botanical Jewelry

Vintage Rose Ring 14K Yellow Gold Linde Pink Star Sapphire. Made about 1950, this three-dimensional open rose blossom ring has Florentine finished petals and a bezel set round Pink Linde Star Sapphire. Set atop a plain square-edged band, the ring is marked 14K L*, indicating it was made by the Linde Star Corporation.

The rose measures 15.75 mm in diameter and the ring is a size 6.5.

In excellent vintage condition, with no damage of any sort noted.

We recently obtained a collection of rings from the estate of a long-term Union Carbide employee. This ring if from that purchase. The Union Carbide company created a number of synthetic stones in the period from 1940 -1980. Among their production were Linde Star Sapphires, Linde Star Rubies, Linde Hydrothermal Emeralds, Lab-Created Amethysts, and Synthetic Yttrium Aluminum Garnets (a diamond substitute). Union Carbide employees were able to purchase jewelry containing these stones through the company and this gentleman bought his wife dozens of rings over the decades.
