Vintage 1922 Ostby Barton Noblesse Wedding Band of 10K Rosy Gold Size 7.75. This plain wedding ring with rounded inner surface (fits and feels like a modern comfort fit band) measures approximately 5 mm wide. It weighs 8.7 grams and has a lovely feeling on the hand due to this weight. The ring bears the patina of fine scratches that develop over years of wear. Your favorite jeweler could definitely polish to a high shine, but we love the marks that hint at the previous life of this ring.
Hand engraved on the inside in lovely script: H.D.B. to O.J.P 9-30-22.
The ring is marked O-B 10K for Ostby Barton. The firm was founded in 1879 and continued through the 1920s. Ostby Barton is well known not only for their high quality jewelry, but because one of the founders, Englebart Ostby perished in the crash of the Titanic.
This makes a great stacker ring if you are not looking for the perfect wedding band.
