Vintage Peranakan Panel Belt of Brass with Pierced Flower and Flourish Links. This belt was obtained in the late 1940s or early 1950s and likely came from Borneo. It is a style first popularized by the Peranakan or Straits Chinese, those who migrated from China to the areas of Malay (now Malaysia), Indonesia, Brunei. Typically worn with sarongs, this belt would look great with jeans or a little black dress.
In very good vintage condition, with no damage of any sort noted.

MEASUREMENTS: Buckle measures 1 3/4" x 2". Panel links are 1 1/4" x 1 1/2". Total length of the belt is 36", with wearable length of approximately 34".
