Art Deco Cobalt Purple Glass Fancy Dress Clip - Vintage1930s Art Glass Jewelry
Very Unusual Art Deco Blue and Purple Glass Dress Clip in Silvertone Setting. This unique piece features and elongated cobalt blue glass stone with embossed swirl and foliage design decorated with gold paint and two inset imitation pearls. This center stone is surrounded by 14 marquise cut deep purple glass stones with scored designs. These stones are so very dark that they appear black in most lights.
Dress clips have many uses beyond their original function. They are nice accessories for coat lapels and hat bands.

HALLMARKS/HISTORY: Pat 1801128 (issued 1931)
CONDITION: Very Good Vintage Condition, with minor age wear and green verdigris on the revers of the foil backed stones. The pronged clip mechanism is tight and works well.
