Vintage 14K Cultured Akoya Pearl Solitaire Ring. Pearls are said to symbolize purity and loyalty and have long been gifted as sweetheart and engagement rings for this reason. This sweet ring features one round 4.5 mm white cultured pearl in a raised six prong claw setting on 14K shank. The ring is a size 5 and dates to the 1920s.
The ring was resized at some point and the hallmark was lost at that time, but it tests as 14K. The piece is in Very Good Vintage Condition, with minor surface wear appropriate to age and a noted difference in the gold color on reverse of shank at previous sizing.
