Vintage Art Deco Olivine Green Czech Glass Brass Filigree 34 Inch Necklace. 1920 Necklace. Flapper Jewelry. Czechoslovakian Crystal.
One of the more ornate Czechoslovakian glass and brass necklaces we have had, this beauty was made in the 1920s. A true flapper jewel, the piece features olive green faceted glass beads in an alternating single and double row design, with fancy filigree connectors and caps. This 34 inch long necklace finishes with a gorgeous pendant of embossed brass arch with flowers above a single emerald green rhinestone and a long faceted bar of the same deep peridot green glass seen throughout the piece. And to add one more element, a dangling fringe of ball chain drops from the horizontal bar of green glass.
Length of chain portion of the necklace is 34 inches, and the pendant adds 3 1/2 inches to the total.
In remarkable good condition in all regards EXCEPT for a break where the floral arch joins the bezel of the green paste stone. This seems like an easy repair, but we will leave it to a more experienced hand. The necklace is otherwise sturdy and there is no "give" at this point, so it could quite likely be worn exactly as it is.
