We are happy to offer this beautiful Victorian fancy chain pocket watch fob with pendant powder horn. Made about 1880, the fob was recently found in a small town in Western Pennsylvania, but we believe its origins may be British or Continental.
Both the central panel of the riveted mesh chain section and the horn itself are decorated with vitreous enamel in black, pastel pink, blue, yellow and green. The entire fob is made of a non-ferrous white metal, although the clip itself is attracted to a magnet. No markings found.
In very good condition, with minor surface wear appropriate for age, but no damage noted.
Measures approximately 5 3/4" long, with chain approximately 2 1 1/8" wide. The powder horn pedant measures approximately 1 5/8" x 1/2".
