Pair of Victorian Hand Painted Floral Porcelain Brooches. Each of these beautiful brooches is decorated with hand painted roses. The larger has yellow and pink roses and blue and green accents, with a gilt border. Set in a brass six pronged mounting with C catch. This brooch measures 2 1/8 inch X 1 1/2 inch. This china plaque has just a few minor pits in the original finish.
The slightly smaller oval brooch is decorated with roses in two shades of pink. There is also green foliage and blue and yellow background. The gold border of this piece is rubbed a bit. This brooch measures 2 inch X 1 1/4 inch. Set in a six pronged mounting with C catch.

HALLMARKS/HISTORY: No marks. Hand painted porcelain jewelry was the result of a popular women's past time in the Victorian era. Along with needlework, china painting was considered an accomplishment of all well-raised women.
CONDITION: Very Good Vintage Condition, with minor edge rubbing on smaller brooch.
