Vintage Mexican Silver Black Onyx Mask Ring - Sterling 1940s Carved Engraved Ring - Mexico Jewelry - Size 8 1/4
Vintage handmade and hand engraved Mexican warrior mask in helmet ring of sterling silver with carved black onyx face. This ring was made prior to the institution of the eagle hallmark system in the 1950s. It shares many characteristics with jewelry made just post WWII, dating it to the late 1940s.
Equally suitable for wear by a man or woman, the ring is a size 8 1/4. It is approximately 7/8 inch wide at the mask in the front, tapering to just over 1/8 inch in the back of the shank.
ERA: Post WWII, 1940s
METAL/MATERIAL: Black Onyx and Sterling Silver (unmarked, but tested and guaranteed to be silver)
CONDITION: Very Good Vintage Condition, with minor age wear and patina appropriate to age. The stone is secure in the mounting. There is a small, lighter color spot in the stone on the forehead area.
SIZE/MEASUREMENTS: Mask area measures approximately 7/8" x 5/8". Weight: 9.2 grams
