Vintage G Jensen USA Danish Rose Sterling Silver Earrings. Made during World War II, these earrings were the creation of Georg Jensen Inc. USA, which was located in NY and was originally an importer and retailer of Jensen products imported from Denmark. During the war, with access to European goods impossible and the Jensen workshop in Denmark turning to wartime steel production, the New York company employed its own designers and silversmiths. This pair of daily screw back earrings is one such design and the elegant and simple pattern is called Danish Rose. The earrings measure approximately 1/2" in diameter, and are stamped Georg Jensen Inc U.S.A. Sterling 89. Very Good Vintage Condition, with minor age wear and beautiful patina appropriate to age.
