Vintage Los Castillo Parrot Pin Pendant of Mixed Metals and Stone Mosaic. Part of the iconic parrot series Los Castillo created about 1950, this brooch is made of 925 sterling silver with inlays of brass, copper, silver and black onyx set in chip stone mosaic of turquoise and other stones. Made in Taxco Mexico in the 1950s, the brooch has a roll over pin stem and also has a hook for wear as a pendant on your favorite chain. The piece measures approximately 1 1/2" X 1 5/8". Clearly marked Los Castillo Taxco around a 63, Hecho en Mexico, and indistinct eagle mark. In very good vintage condition with minor surface wear consistent with age.

HALLMARK: Los Castillo Taxco around a 63, Hecho en Mexico, and indistinct eagle mark

WEIGHT: 27.9 grams
CONDITION: Very Good Vintage Condition, with minor surface wear and patina appropriate to age. No damage noted.
