Antique 10K Shell Cameo Brooch with Pearl Frame. This beautiful Edwardian era brooch features a large hand carved shell cameo of a lady with loose curls and flower accents. The cameo has delicate and fine carved details and is set in a plain 10K bezel with a frame of 31 round 4mm cultured Akoya pearls. The brooch measures 1 3/8" X 1 3/4". Finished with an early safety clasp, appropriate to the period. Marked 10K on clasp, the piece is in very good vintage condition with minor surface wear appropriate to age.
