Mid Century Modernist Torpedo Faceted Smoky Quartz Ring. WOW! The stone is the star of this ring, but the mounting crafted for it creates the perfect compliment. The elongated smoky quartz is cut in a sort of stretched bicone shape and set in a pierced cradle mounting of sterling silver with two substantial prongs that grip the stone at the girdle. This ring is a chunky showstopper, with the stone measuring 1 1/4" long and the ring sitting 5/8" above the finger. The ring is size 6 1/4 and is in very good vintage vintage condition with no damage to the stone and minimal wear and patina to the mounting.
ERA: Mid Century Modern, 1960s
METAL/MATERIAL: Sterling Silver and Smoky Quartz that weighs approximately 30 CT, as estimated by weight.
HALLMARK/HISTORY: Sterling
SIZE/MEASUREMENTS: Ring measures 30 mm wide at head and shank is 2.4 mm at reverse.
WEIGHT: 9.8 grams
RING SIZE: 6 1/4
CONDITION: Very Good Vintage Condition, with minor surface wear and patina to silver appropriate to its age. Previously owned and worn.
