1960s 10K White Gold Lab Created Purple Sapphire Ring. This simple ring features a single round faceted synthetic purple sapphire set in a white gold six prong raised gallery mounting. The stone in set in a hand made four prong mounting with pierced gallery. The size 6 1/4 ring weighs 2 grams and is in very good vintage condition. It fluoresces a strong red under UV light.
ERA: Mid Century, 1960s
METAL/MATERIAL: 10K White Gold and 1.5 CT Purple Lab Created Sapphire (as estimated by measurement)
HALLMARK/HISTORY: 10K with unknown maker's mark
MEASUREMENTS: Head measures 8.2mm in diameter and the shank tapers to 1.8 mm wide at the reverse. The top of the stone sits 8.2 mm above the finger.
RING SIZE: 6.25
WEIGHT: 2 grams
Condition: Very Good vintage condition, with minor surface wear and no damage noted. Previously owned and worn.
