Vintage Venetian Millefiore Graduated Beads Necklace. These ovoid millefiori Murano glass beads are made of beautiful canes cut into slices that reveal the "thousand flowers" from which the name millefiori is taken. Cobalt blue is the predominant color, with lots of red, bright green, yellow, white, burgundy and black. This 30 inch long strand is made millefiori glass beads ranging in size from 9mm X 11.6mm to 19.5mm X 30.2mm. The colorful beads are separated by smaller red glass beads, approximately 4mm X 5mm. Strung on heavy black cord with n clasp, this strand would benefit from restringing. The beads date from about 1920.

MEASUREMENTS: The necklace is 30 inches long and the largest bead is approximately 19.5mm X 30.2mm.
