Vintage 14K Gold .08 CT Diamond Illusion Head Solitaire Ring. Made about 1950, this is a beautiful engagement ring featuring one round brilliant cut diamond set in a white gold illusion head atop a tapered 14K yellow gold shank with one single cut diamond set in a milgrain edge lozenge on each shoulder. The diamond weighs approximately .15 CT, as estimated by measurement.
ERA: Mid Century, 1950s
METAL/MATERIAL: 14K White and Yellow Gold
STONE: One Round Brilliant Cut Diamond and two single cut diamonds, all natural and untreated. Combined total weight of approximately .08 CT, as estimated by measurement.
DIAMOND CLARITY: SI1
DIAMOND COLOR: G-H
HALLMARK/HISTORY: 14K BaumF, the maker's mark of designers Baumstein and Feder, popular in New York from about 1940-1980s.
MEASUREMENTS: Head measures 5.5 mm across and the shank tapers to 1.4 mm at the reverse of the shank.
RING SIZE: 7 1/2
WEIGHT: 2 gram
CONDITION: Very Good Vintage Condition, with minimal surface wear commensurate with age. Previously owned and worn.
