Vintage Mikimoto Akoya Cultured Pearl Necklace. Mikimoto perfected the art of cultured pearl creation and their jewelry is highly coveted. This Mid Century 17 inch long choker length strand features cream colored cultured round pearls measuring approximately 6.8mm in diameter. The pearls have a beautiful luster and minor surface imperfections consistent with their organic nature. The strand is hand knotted between pearls and is finished with a 14K yellow gold fish hook box clasp with open work design with milgrain detail and single pearl accent. Very Good Vintage Condition with no damage noted aside from minor discoloration of the thread in some spots.
