Vintage Mexican 980 Silver Double Ball Ring. Made from the late 1930s or early 1940s prior to the introduction of the eagle mark system, this ring features two large orbs wrapped by shapes that resemble leaves accented by engraved line decoration and raised domes. The beautiful design is supported by a split shank and the ring size is 5.25. The ring is stamped 980 on the underside, indicating that the piece is made of 980/1000 silver, which has higher silver content than sterling silver, making it a bit softer. This is a pretty piece of early Mexican silver jewelry in very good vintage condition with the patina of fine scratches and small dents that develops with decades of love and wear.
