Chinese Export Articulated Fish Vinaigrette Necklace Silver Gold Vermeil Koi Fish Vinaigrette Pendant. This hollow movable fish is hand made of an open mesh. The exquisitely detailed fish has two sets of moveable fins front and back, as well as a stationary fin on the belly.
The pendant has a hinged compartment that opens and might be used contain cotton soaked in scent. The pendant has a gilt wash and is set with coral eyes.
ERA: Art Deco, 1930s
METAL/MATERIAL: Silver Gilt and Coral Cabochons
HALLMARK/HISTORY: SILVER on inside lip of fish
VINAIGRETTE MEASUREMENTS: 2 3/4 inch long (including jump ring bale) and 1 1/8 inch tall, and 1/2 inch wide
CONDITION: Very Good Vintage Condition with very minor surface wear commensurate with age. Pendant was previously owned and worn.
