Vintage Marquise Sapphire Diamond Ring. This 10K yellow gold ring features eighteen (18) marquise cut sapphires in a bypass design accented with a gold ribbon set with a single diamond. All sapphires are prong set on slightly raised gallery. The diamond is dead set. The ring is nearly one inch wide at front, tapering to 2 mm at the reverse. Marked 10KP and THL inside of band. In very good vintage condition, with minimal surface wear.
ERA: Modern Vintage, 1980s
METAL/MATERIALS: 10K Yellow Gold
STONES: 1 Single Cut Diamonds with estimated total weight of .02 CT, 18 Marquise Faceted Heat Treated Sapphires. Heat treatment of sapphires was typical in the 1980s and does not created any need for special care or handling.
HALLMARKS/HISTORY: 10KP and THL, with the P denoting "Plumb", or precisely 10K. This mark was used for a brief period in the 1980s. THL is the maker's mark for Samuel Aaron.
MEASUREMENTS: Ring is 15/16 inch wide at front, tapering to 2 mm at the reverse.
WEIGHT: 4.2 grams
RING SIZE: 8
CONDITION: In very good vintage condition, with minimal surface wear consistent with age and no damage noted. Previously owned and worn.
