Vintage Mexican 980 Silver Amethyst Bow Dangle Brooch. This early Mexican silver brooch is simply beautiful. A multi loop bow with applied bead accents has a bezel set round amethyst cabochon in the center. Three graduated length dangles sway below the bow. Navette cabochons of amethyst terminate chain link drops. The brooch is made of 980 silver (which has a higher silver content than sterling), with amethysts that show the inclusions typical of Mexican jewelry of this period. The piece measures 1 1/4 X 3 3/8 inches, is stamped Taxco 980 Mexico Silver and finished with a roll over safety clasp.

CONDITION: In very good vintage condition, with lovely patina. Previously owned and worn.
