Antique Sterling Lid Crystal Powder Shaker Jar. Part of a a larger toilet set, this vintage paneled glass jar with sterling silver shaker top is the perfect size and shape to be part of a travelling set. The cut glass paneled jar with ground base is topped with a sterling screw cap with slide mechanism that opens and closes the shaker hole for the powder. The lid is accented with a beaded edge and lined with the original cork disc that prevented clumping of the powder. The slide mechanism is marked Moller's Pat. Feb 5 1901 and Sterling. The piece stands approximately 3 3/4 inches tall and is 1 1/2 inches in diameter. The lid threads nicely. There are a two minor chips to the cut glass jar just below the lid, as well as some denting to the lid itself, which is expected in a piece of this age. I have gently hand polished the lid of this lovely piece, but you may choose to polish it more.
