Antique Unger Brothers Queen of the Flowers Sterling Lid Crystal Vanity Jar. This lovely Unger Brothers pattern was originally called Reine des Fleurs. The round bulbous dresser jar has a cut glass crystal body with repousse sterling silver lid in the Queen of the Flowers pattern with gilt interior, patented June 30, 1903. It was made to contain powder and a puff. Simply a stunning Art Nouveau vanity or dresser accessory, with our queen with flowing locks ruling over her flowers with their whiplash curved stems! The jar stands approximately 3 1/2 inches tall and is 3 3/4 inches in diameter. The lid fits snugly. There are a few fleabites and minor chips to the cut glass jar, which is expected in a piece of this age. I have gently hand polished the lid of this lovely piece, but you may choose to polish it more.

HALLMARKS: HISTORY: PAT. JUNE 30, 1903 STERLING 925 FINE with 2 Unger Brothers maker's marked of entwined UB. Unger Bros. was founded in Newark, NJ in 1878 as manufacturing jewelers, silversmiths and glass cutters. They were recognized as one of the premier American Art Nouveau silver companies.

MEASUREMENTS: 3 1/2 inches tall and 3 3/4 inches in diameter

CONDITION: Very Good Vintage Condition, with minor surface patina, scratches, and fleabites consistent with age. Previously owned and used. I have gently hand polished the lid of this lovely piece, but you may choose to polish it more.
