1880 Victorian Lab Created Purple Sapphire 14K Ring. This Aesthetic Period ring is a rare beauty in wonderful condition! A 4 carat oval faceted lab created purple sapphire is set in six square tipped prongs atop a low detailed mounting with fluted shoulders and lined decoration. The ring is hand engraved on the inner shank Pat to Ma____ June 2 "80. The ring is a size 10 1/2 and weighs 5.9 grams. In very good condition with minor surface wear and a spot on the inner shank under the shoulder that has been scratched by a previous owner, possibly to test karat.
ERA: Victorian, 1880
METAL/MATERIALS: 14K Yellow Gold
STONE: Lab Created Purple Sapphire weighing approximately 4 CT.
HALLMARK: Unmarked, but tests as 14K
MEASUREMENTS: Head Measures 14 mm X 11 mm with shank 2.3 mm at reverse
RING SIZE: 10 1/2
WEIGHT: 5.9 grams
CONDITION: In very good condition with minor surface wear and a spot on the inner shank under the shoulder that has been scratched by a previous owner, possibly to test karat. Previously owned and worn.
