Edwardian Sterling Silver Carnelian and Marcasite Bar Lapel Pin. This dainty octagonal brooch features a bezel set octagonal piece of carnelian. The frame of the piece is all arched openwork with marcasite accents. It is finished with an integrated pin stem and early safety clasp. Marked Sterling Silver and Germany on reverse. The pin measures 1 3/8" X 7/8". This beautiful brooch is in immaculate condition and seems to have been very seldom worn.
