Vintage Sterling American Queen Expansion Bracelet. This beautiful 10K gold-washed sterling bracelet, made circa 1940, features a lovely heart motif engraved with a fancy outlined heart and a child-sized expansion band. The inner band is stamped "AMERICAN QUEEN," "PITMAN AND KEELER" and "STERLING BASE." The piece is in very good vintage condition, with minor signs of surface wear. There is also a dent to the reverse of the heart, as is often seen in these bracelets. The bracelet stretches and functions beautifully.
Although this is a stretch bracelet, it is designed for a smaller wrist and measures 4.25 inches in circumference in resting position.

HALLMARKS/HISTORY: AMERICAN QUEEN, PITMAN AND KEELER and STERLING BASE. Pitman and Keeler was the successor to McRae & Keeler Company, which was founded in 1893 in Attleboro, MA
SIZE/MEASUREMENTS: 1 inch wide at the heart, 5/8 inch wide at the stretch portion, and 4.25" in inner diameter (wearable size).
WEIGHT: 29.1 grams
CONDITION: Very Good Vintage Condition, with very minor patina and a few surface scratches appropriate to age. There is also a dent in the reverse of the heart. The bracelet is tight and has never been overstretched.
