Victorian 10K Yellow Gold Green Garnet Doublet Ring. Made about 1900, this minimalist ring features two round faceted green garnet doublets, each set in six claw prongs. Both stones have edge chips, but these doublets are so brilliant, that it is difficult to see the chips on the stones without close examination. The ring is otherwise in very good condition.

METAL/MATERIALS: 10K Yellow Gold (tested)
STONES: Green Garnet and Glass Doublet. Doublets are stones made of two pieces of materials combined to create the illusion of a different, or higher quality stone. In this case, the doublets are made of glass and garnet and are a brilliant bright medium green.
HALLMARK: Unknown maker's mark. The absence of a karat mark indicates the ring was made prior to the adoption of the National Gold and Silver Stamping Act of 1906.
MEASUREMENTS: Ring is 11.5 mm at head. tapering to 1.3 mm at reverse.
RING SIZE: 7.25
WEIGHT: 1.9 grams in total
CONDITION: Good vintage condition, with significant chips to both stones. Ring has been professionally cleaned and polished. Previously owned and worn.
