Vintage 14K Operculum Shell Ring. This unusual ring features a cabochon cut of operculum shell. The shell is bezel set atop a tapered shank with ribbed shoulder accents. In good vintage condition, with minor surface wear to gold and shell.
ERA: Mid Century, 1940s
METAL/MATERIALS: 14K Solid Yellow Gold and Operculum Shell
HALLMARKS/HISTORY: Unmarked, as mark seems to have been lost in resizing. Tests as 14K gold.
CONDITION: In good vintage condition, with minor surface wear on gold and shell. Previously owned and worn.
MEASUREMENTS: Head measures 12.8 mm X 12.1 mm. Top of cabochon is 7 mm above the finger. Shank is 1.5 mm at the reverse.
WEIGHT: 4.1 grams
RING SIZE: 4.75
