Vintage Glass Mosaic Floral Pin with Image of Christ. Very few of these mosaic brooches feature images, although I have seen a few with a picture of the pope. This is the first I have seen with an image of Christ in his crown of thorns. The paper image in set under a celluloid cover in a brass bezel in the center of this floral brooch.These Italian souvenir brooches are made by cutting individual tesserae tiles from longer glass tubes. Each piece is then set in place by hand. Its back features an integrated pin stem and roll over safety clasp. In good vintage condition.
