Edwardian Sterling Silver Dance Purse by Theodore W. Foster & Bro. Co. Pretty dance purses were popular gifts in the Edwardian era of the 1920s. A must-have for the flapper girl, this dainty compact has just enough room for some mad money under the spring arm and makeup in the two hinged compartments. It has a polished finish and an engraved monogram of MLR. The oval link chain handle is 10 inches long. In good vintage condition, with a few minor dents from use.

HALLMARKS/HISTORY: Marked on the inner spring arm with F&B in Flag Sterling and 6105. The hallmark is that of Theodore W. Foster & Bro. Co., which operated in Providence, RI from 1898 to 1951.
CONDITION: In good antique condition, with a few minor dents. Previously owned and used.
MEASUREMENTS: Case measures 3 3/8" long, 2 1/4" wide, and 1/2" thick. The handle is 10" long.
