Vintage Hand Carved Shell Cameos Earring and Choker Necklace Set in Gold Tone. Made about 1940, these pretty pieces feature three non-matching hand carved shell cameos of ladies. Fashion jewelry of this time often featured hand carved shell cameos that are not quite as well detailed as those used in fine jewelry pieces. All cameos are set in fleur de lis prongs, with rope twist trim, and scalloped frames. The necklace features one of these cameos set atop a brick weave flat chain that measures 5/16 inch wide. This is a SHORT dog collar type choker at 14 inches long, finished with a box and tab clasp. The earrings have screw posts, designed for non-pierced ears.
