Vintage Mexican Sterling Silver and Green Chalcedony Oval Brooch. Elegant early Mexican silver pin. This brooch features a large bezel set oval cabochon of green chalcedony that measures 2 inch X 1 1/2 inch. The beautiful green stone is set in a plain bezel enhanced by twist trim and a domed bezel decorated with hand cut saw work. The brooch has an attached pin mechanism with roll over safety. In very good vintage condition with no damage noted.
ERA: Mid Century, 1940s
METAL/MATERIALS: 925 Sterling Silver and Green Chalcedony
HALLMARKS/HISTORY: 925 F.S.L GuadMex. This mark is from the 1940s before the eagle mark was in use.
MEASUREMENTS: 2" X 1 1/2"
WEIGHT: 19.5 grams
CONDITION: In very good vintage condition, with no damage noted. Previously owned and worn.
