Antique Old Mine Cut Diamond Cluster Ring. This ring is an amazing piece of history! Nine old mine cut diamonds of different sizes, colors, and clarity are bead set in a square white gold plate with milgrain edge detail set atop a yellow gold mounting with beautiful scrolled filigree details. The Edwardian mounting seems to date from the 1920s, but the diamonds are clearly older and may have been taken from several different earlier pieces, as they are not matched for color or clarity. Indeed, the diamond cuts seem to be very early, based upon their irregular shapes. The ring is a size 6 1/2 and is stamped 14K inside the shank.
